My 1st blog....alittle about me !

I'm here at the computer lab at Molloy College. I never thought I'd have a blog, but here I am. I recently saw the movie Julie & Julia. In the movie the character Julie is bored with her mundane life. She decides to challenge herself for a year, by cooking every recipe out of her idol Julie Childs french cooking book. She blogs daily about her cooking experience. I feel like I can relate to that character. I understand the desire of wanting to push yourself. This is my plan for 2010 minus the french cooking.

    My name is Felipe and I will be serving as Tech guy during your stay at the WCSP. You can ask me any questions about the program, Blogger, Flickr, Blurb, BookSmart (blurb program), Cameras, Photography, and Photoshop. I'm also open to any other questions. I hope you enjoy the class as much as past students have!

  2. @Felipe: Wow, such a copy & paste! LOL!

    @Deb

    I hope you have fun with your blog. It's really fun once you get the hang of it and notice a flow of your words.

  3. Hi my name is Ashley. I am Mike's work study student and I actually took this exact class last semester so I know the ropes. I'll be commenting on your stuff from time to time just to give you some feed back. If you have any questions you can email me or stop by the Philosophy house. alantz09@lions.molloy.com

    I loved that movie. If you keep blogging it'll get easier and easier I promise...have fun with it though that's really why you have them.

  4. Try to keep up with your writing so that you don't fall behind. Also, please move your "About Me" to the top of the right habd column.

  5. Remember, we will not have class on Wednesday because the College is operating on a Monday schedule. This does not mean that you don't have work to do. By Feb 17th you should have reached the following targets:

    Blog Posts: about 25
    Photos: about 50

    We appreciate the fact that many of you are putting some effort into your writing. We can see that a few of you are definitely trying to move beyond your comfort zone and get a little funky. Keep it up!!!

    If you'd like to start working on some of the exercises in Chapters 4 and 5, copies are available in the philosophy house [1079 Hempstead Ave.]. You might find some of these exercises--which focus on the stories of your life and your relationships with intimate others--to be more interesting than those in chapters 1-3.

    You should also make an effort to comment on at least 6 student's posts everytime you go on line. Damian also feels neglected because none of you are commenting on his wonderful writing. You might want to check his stuff out to see what really good writing looks like.

    See you on Feb 24th!
