New York City

Your the best city is the
world, nowhere else can
ever compare.

People from all over the
world. No one seems to
care or stare.

You can be who you are,
it doesn't matter
what you wear.

They envy you and respect
you. They should all be
like you.

You're unique and
colorful and fascinating.
Thats the true beauty
right there.

  1. I don't fully understand this poem. Who is the "you" in the final stanza? NYC, I assume. Then, who is the "They" other cities?
Also, use "you're" rather than "your" since the first is a contraction of "you are."

  2. I accidently posted it before finishing. Yes, the "you" is NYC and the "they" is other cities. I see what you mean about the your & you're...thanks ! I was trying to do something different. I wanted to explain how NYC is like a nonjudgemental person, compared to other people. Damian, what do you think...did i accomplish that ??

  6. I certainly hope that all of you are doing well and not getting too stressed out from exams.

I hate to add to your stress at this time of year, but my grades for our class are due on Thursday afternoon. I will assume that, if you don't have your books in by Thursday morning, that you are in need of an incomplete. This means that you have an extra month to get your book in. I will be in the entier month of Juen and you can arrange to drop off your book by emailing me.

I look forward to seeing your masterpieces!
